I figured for about $35 I would probably be getting a decent ring though...certainly not a diamond or anything, but surely better than a cheap one from a department store. I'm glad I went with this. I bought it for a friend for a birthday, and held onto it for a about a month prior to make sure the ring was okay. It's just as beautiful as the picture shows it to be. I wore it at night several times to make sure I didn't get a rash or that it would turn my finger green and it never did. :) This a great buy for the money. The light blue topaz is beautiful with the polished finish of the ring. She wanted some "grown-up jewelry," so I ordered this one. It DOES look like a grown-up ring. Does not have a cheap look at all. One thing that bothers me: the diamonds are so small that they are not visible, even with a magnifying glass. I was mainly curious if they are there at all, and I am still not sure. Not having diamonds in the ring for the price I paid is not a big deal, though; the ring is beautiful as is. The topaz is very pretty: it sparkles and shines. I searched high and low for a blue topaz ring that was affordable, yet substantial. I can't believe anyone would be disappointed in this ring. Color is a beautiful Swiss blue and yes, you really can see the diamonds. The shape of the stone is really more of a trillon cut, so unusual to find. I just can't tell you how pleased I was when I opened the box...and how thrilled my sister was when she saw it! |
